Broken but not beaten
A fractured vertebrae may have dampened my plans but it's forcing me to grow my vision.
I’ve been fairly inactive the past several weeks due to having fractured my L1 vertebrae. Sadly, as one might expect, that has put all of my Spring plans of teaching Lucas, my pup, to ride in the canoe, and going on photography/camping road trips with him on hold.
On Monday, when I have an appointment with my Neurosurgeon, I hope to find out how much of my Summer will also be placed on hold.
So, for now, I’m learning to see more in my limited everyday world. Today I took a photo of a portion of our house which I have titled “Angles”. I’m using this time of slowing down to develop a greater sense of vision and appreciation for the everyday things I typically take for granted.
.Enjoying my work?
If these photographs of small towns and everyday life resonate with you, your support helps cover fuel, campground fees, and time spent creating future photo essays I’d be deeply grateful if you’d buy me a coffee!

I love this photo and I hope you are healing up well!
